Finely chopped onion 
400g Lean minced beef
1 Small egg
100g Breadcrumbs
2 tbsp Tomato ketchup
Pinch Salt and pepper
(Makes 4 portions)
1.    Cook the onion in the fat without colour, allow to cool.
2.    Add to the rest of the ingredients and mix well
3.    Divide into even pieces and using a little flour make into balls, flatten and reshape round.
4.    Make sure all the burgers are the same thickness so that they will cook evenly.
5.    Shallow fry in hot fat on both sides only to brown.
6.    Don’t press down on the meat, as that will squeeze out the juices.
7.    Finish by cooking right through in an oven at 180oC for 10-15 minutes.
